snow play

Big Bear’s snow tubing hill, at the famous Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain.

We start making snow as soon as it is cold enough, typically in October or November!

We increased our snow making capacity 25% in the off-season, primarily so we could open more runs earlier in the season. Snow making base depths were in excess of 30 feet last year. Getting to the top of the hill is easy, since we have the Magic Carpet uphill lift that is covered in plexiglass for our guest’s comfort.

Five Lenko Fan snow guns blanket the area’s five runs with enough snow to build a pack 20 feet deep or more.

We light up the hill and the Magic Carpet for our evening sessions
